FARO, the world’s leading provider of portable 3D measurement and imaging solutions, will show their measurement solutions at this years Aero Engineering. Visitors can see live demonstrations of FARO’s 3D measurement devices: Laser Tracker ION, the FaroArm and ScanArm as well as the FARO Gage at stand 507 from 29th to 30th September at the NEC in Birmingham.
The Aerospace industry is one of FARO’s most important areas with customers like Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney, BAE Systems, Boeing and Airbus. FARO provides portable 3D measurement solutions for a wide range of industries. The company’s products allow manufacturers to perform 3D inspections of parts and assemblies on the shop floor.
David Homewood, Area Vice President of Sales for the UK, France and Benelux, is very optimistic about this show, “At exhibitions we always meet visitors from Aerospace companies who are very interested in our portable measurement devices. This year we are presenting our range of contact- and non-contact measurement tools like the FaroArm Quantum – a portable measuring arm which measures accurately to within ±.016mm!” In addition the company also offers the FARO Laser Tracker – a portable 3D measurement system for large volume which uses laser technology to accurately measure large parts, tooling and machinery to 0.049mm volumetric accuracy at 10m.
“The visitors can try out how quickly and easily measurements can be carried out using our products. Many of our customers used fixed Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) before switching to our portable solutions,” David Homewood explains. “By using our systems, they can reduce their lead time while improving quality standards. This guarantees a very fast ROI.”
